Surprise Friday greetings collectors!

Our big announcement for Tierney Gearon's Grassy Girl was queued and ready to make its appearance in your inbox at 11:00 a.m. yesterday, but the company that manages our newsletter deliveries experienced an unfortunate outage, which means a lot of you never received it. We took to Twitter and Facebook as soon as we realized there were issues, but we wanted to make sure that we spread the news about Tierney's new work to all of you who don't follow us there, too.

We're so sorry this happened—getting the word out early to our art-loving-est of collectors is something we love doing, and we've been in a 24-hour huddle discussing measures we can take to keep this from happening again. As we craft and hatch our next steps, we encourage you to join us on Twitter and Facebook. They're the first places to look if your newsletter doesn't show up at its appointed hour and you'll find both destinations percolating with all kinds of interesting links, updates and information about our editions and artists.

Back to Tierney—the good news is that there are still plenty of prints to be had: pick up Grassy Girl while the getting is good. As Sara said yesterday, we strongly recommend that small print buyers trade up to the 11"x14" size. And be sure to check out what else she had to say about all this Gearon goodness! Here's a snippet to whet your appetite:

From the outside in, it all sounds terribly glamorous. But beneath that seeming perfection is someone whose creativity has been shaped by challenges and disappointments and who is also refreshingly forthcoming about the lows that shadow the highs—falling in love and the subsequent heart-breaking divorce, the joy of being a parent and the difficulty of doing it on her own (with no small amount of noise from the peanut gallery), and confronting her manic-depressive, schizophrenic mother—Tierney is human...
