ARTIST STATEMENT

In my paintings, I am trying to find a sublime perspective, informed by the subconscious—in distant memories of visited or imagined places—or by the way nature and the human world engage each other. Aspects of these things appear in light, shadow, steel, skin, concrete, glass, sky, sea and earth.

I like to compose fresh protean improvisations with playful color, giving birth to curious figments and phantasms—what comes out depends on the weather; the weather in one’s mental coordinates at any given time and place.

These prints are created using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag paper with a matte finish.

The original is 16″×16″, gouache on wood, and is available. Please email collector@20x200.com for more information.

Our quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the images, not the printed image itself. We do not alter the aspect ratio, nor do we crop or resize the artists’ originals. All of our prints have a minimum border of .5 inches to allow for framing.

Note: Because this image is roughly square it will have large borders on one side.

We recommend a custom frame in white solid wood with UV protected plexiglass and a white archival mat. Please note: Framed art may take up to 4 weeks to ship. Available for U.S. orders only.

  • 11"x8.5" print offered in 14"x14" frame (3/4” front profile x 3/4” side profile)
  • 22"x17" print offered in 22.5"x22.5" frame (3/4” front profile x 3/4” side profile)
