ARTIST STATEMENT

Jane Mount and Jason Polan spent December 3 – December 6, 2008, drawing at Jen Bekman Gallery. With the help of friends, strangers + special celebrity guests, they filled the walls with art. Each drawing was completed during this time with Jane and Jason working Royal Art Lodge style, each contributing to each drawing in response to the other person’s drawing. Each drawing in this edition is an original work.

These drawings were created using pen, pencil, ink, gouache, watercolor, markers, and Sharpies.

The small drawings are on Strathmore Smooth Bristol. The medium drawings are on Canson bright white 50 lb (74 gsm) weight paper. The large drawings are on Fabriano Artistico 100% cotton rag watermarked paper.

Our quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the images, not the image itself.

 

How to Frame Your Art

All of our prints have a minimum border of .25 inches to allow for framing. We do not alter the aspect ratio, crop or resize the artists' originals—quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the image, not the printed image itself.
