ARTIST STATEMENT

This work on paper began with the bottom shapes that pile up to become a mountain. A large clover balances on top of the mountain. The clover is spreading and expanding as it tries to balance itself on top, but it can’t because a hand has come in to knock it off. I paint intuitively, not thinking of the finished painting. I work on a painting until it begins to inhabit its own space, until something clicks and I know it’s done. I paint on many paintings at the same time; each one influences the one next to it. With the paintings in this series, I layered abstract imagery and recognizable images to create a simple story.

These prints are created using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag paper with a matte finish.

Our quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the image, not the printed image itself. We do not alter the aspect ratio, nor do we crop or resize the artists’ originals. All of our prints have a minimum border of .5 inches to allow for framing.

Note: This is a square image so there will be a large white border on one side of the print.

We recommend a custom frame in white solid wood with UV protected plexiglass and a white archival mat. Please note: Framed art may take up to 4 weeks to ship. Available for U.S. orders only.

  • 11"x8.5" print offered in 14"x14" frame (3/4” front profile x 3/4” side profile)
