ARTIST STATEMENT

I am trying to draw every person in New York. This edition is an official portion of this attempt. Each one of the drawings in the edition are actual people that are in New York. They are all original works, and no two people are repeated. People were drawn all over the city for this edition. It is possible that you will be buying a drawing of yourself.

Edition of 200
An original drawing of a New Yorker. Each drawing will be unique and will be of a different person. The drawing will be labeled with the location of the person in the drawing and the date it was made. The drawing will be drawn with black ink on 8.5″×11″ typing paper and signed with pencil on the reverse.

Edition of 20
An original drawing of 10 New Yorkers. Each drawing will be unique and will contain ten different people. The drawing will be labeled with the location of the people in the drawing and the date it was made. The drawing will be drawn with black ink on archival 12″×16″ paper and signed with pencil on the reverse.

Edition of 2
100 different New Yorkers one of them will be you*. Each drawing will be unique and will contain one hundred different people. The drawing will be labeled with the location of the people in the drawing and the date it was made. The drawing will be drawn with black ink on archival 18″×22″ paper and signed with pencil on the reverse.

*The buyer will be contacted after purchase and a location to draw them will be decided upon. If you choose to purchase one of the editions of 2 and would like to be drawn for the project you must be available to be drawn in New York.

 

How to Frame Your Art

All of our prints have a minimum border of .25 inches to allow for framing. We do not alter the aspect ratio, crop or resize the artists' originals—quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the image, not the printed image itself.
