ARTIST STATEMENT

I like making drawings and paintings and prints and sculptures and films involving giraffes. I made all of the pieces for this edition in my apartment. I tried to make the silkscreen look as much like an original drawing as I could. (It is a print because the drawings take me a while to make—and I like silkscreening.) The painting is watercolor, with original line art drawing over the color. The set contains the entirety of the project.*

The 11″×14″ prints are hand-pulled silkscreens, black ink on white paper. There are some slight, natural variations from print to print.

The 20″×15″ pieces are unique, original, works in color. Each was drawn and watercolored by hand and vary.

The works in this edition are verso signed by the artist.
