ARTIST STATEMENT

You can add or omit a lot to a drawing and nobody will ever find out. Most of my images are faithful depictions of a witnessed scene, down to the lighting conditions. There may be landscape elements glazed over or pushed forward. Proportions are sometimes fudged. Characters may become composites of several people, but the final results aren’t that far from reality. The things you don’t see in this drawing: it was actually drizzling that day; the bridesmaid and the best man were holding umbrellas and there was nobody else in the party to be photographed. It was a private, happy moment in the rain.

These prints are created using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag paper with a matte finish.

Our quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the images, not the printed image itself. We do not alter the aspect ratio, nor do we crop or resize the artists’ originals. All of our prints have a minimum border of .5 inches to allow for framing.

We recommend a custom frame in black solid wood with UV protected plexiglass and a white archival mat. Please note: Framed art may take up to 4 weeks to ship. Available for U.S. orders only.
