Panda

ARTIST STATEMENT

He’s not dead, he’s sleeping. Pandas are such lazy creatures; they are only active for short periods of time, usually in the morning. The pandas at Wolong Nature Reserve have their bamboo supplemented by high calorie biscuits because it seems they don’t have the energy to eat enough to survive on their own. Not only can they not be bothered to eat, they can’t even be bothered to have sex. It seems the pandas’ evolutionary trait is to be ‘cute looking’ to humans. Nice work if you can get it.
