Stefan Ruiz is based in Brooklyn. His work has been featured in numerous magazines, including: Colors (he also served as Creative Director in 2003), The New York Times Magazine, L'uomo Vogue, French Vogue and Rolling Stone. His photographs have been exhibited at the Havana Biennale (Cuba, 2003), Palais Tokyo (Paris 2003), Open Eye Gallery (Liverpool 2005), Centre Culturel Mexicain (Paris 2005), Impressions Gallery (UK, 2005), and Les Rencontres d'Arles (France, 2005). At Les Rencontres d'Arles he was nominated for the Prix Dialogue de l'Humanité. In 2006, a monograph of his work, People, was published by Chris Boot LTD. He is currently working on his second book about Mexican telenovelas.
