Robert Knight (b. 1973) lives and works in Boston, MA. He received his MFA in photography from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design and his BA from Yale University. His work has been exhibited in the Boston area at the Alpha Gallery, The Bernard Toale Gallery, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Photographic Resource Center and MPG Contemporary, as well as nationally at Jen Bekman Gallery in New York, and at the Houston Center for Photography in Houston, TX.

He currently teaches photography and studio foundations at Emerson College and Massachusetts College of Art.

Knight will be showing his work at Gallery Kayafas in October 2008.

Inspirations:

Larry Sultan, Tim Davis, Walker Evans, Bill Viola – These guys really know (or knew) how to see, and that's the bottom-line most important skill to have as a photographer.

Favorite Museum:

Louis Kahn's British Art Center in New Haven. I studied Architecture as an undergrad at Yale, so naturally I'm a fan of Kahn's work, and the BAC is as sensual and seductive as architecture gets.
