Linzie graduated from Glasgow University and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before studying illustration at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London. Originally from Glasgow, she began her professional career as a stage manager and theatre lecturer before becoming a full-time freelance illustrator in 2005.
Linzie's work has appeared internationally in books, magazine and advertising and some of her clients include: Time Magazine, The Guardian, BBC Worldwide, Orange and Harper-Collins.
Her illustrations are often influenced by her love of all things vintage and any spare time is often spent hunting down paraphernalia from the 50s and 60s (including but not limited to: tiki barware, pulp books, robots, dice, kitchenalia, old picture books, 50s science magazines...).
Much of her work is created digitally but when away from the computer, she enjoys silkscreen and gocco printing and book and zine making.
She lives and works in London, UK and regretfully admits to being a frequent flyer.
