Clifton Burt is a graphic designer based in Portland, Oregon. He is the founding director of the Public Design Center and a founding member of the Center for Vernacular Typography. He doesn't plan to found anything else with the word 'Center' in it.
His operational philosophies are:

2. Do less, better.
3. Err on the side of frumpy.
