Kirby Pilcher was born in eastern South Dakota in 1977. In 2007, he received an MFA from the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY, where he currently lives with his five-year-old border collie/husky, named Molly. He was included in the Winter 2007 edition of Hey, Hot Shot! Kirby is currently an Adjunct Professor of Photography at SUNY Brockport and Wells College.
