Ky Anderson grew up in Kansas City. Influenced by the art community she grew up in, she can’t remember a time when she did not make art. She has a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, where she studied fiber and sculpture (though her main focus has always been painting). In 1996, she moved to Brooklyn. In 2010, she moved her studio to Jeffersonville, NY to have more space to make art and to garden. She has shown her work all over the country, and her paintings and sculptures are in many private, corporate and museum collections.
