From: Montreal. I seem to hop-scotch in and out of the city every five or six years, but no matter where I happen to be living, Montreal is the only place that feels like home.
Artists who inspire you: Richard Diebenkorn, post "Ab-Ex." I was inclined to hate all of his work until I finally saw one of the Ocean Park series in the flesh and I've been in love with his paintings ever since. Eventually, I moved to California where you can see "diebenskies" looking out your kitchen window in the morning and it all made sense.
Favorite Museum: The Rothko Room at the Tate Modern; John Singer Sargent's El Jaleo at the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum; Bernini's The Ecstasy of St. Teresa in Rome.
