Sean Greene lives and works in Northampton, Massachusetts. He earned an MFA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2004, where he was awarded a three-year teaching associateship, and a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan in 1996.
Sean has received grants from the Northampton and Somerville arts councils. He has had shows at wünderarts, in Amherst, MA and the A.P.E. Gallery in Northampton, MA, and exhibits regularly in group shows around the Northeast. Recent highlights include a three person show called Traction at the Geoffrey Young Gallery in Great Barrington, MA; Strategic Abstraction at Geoffrey Young; Skateboarding Side Effects at the Artisphere in Arlington, VA; Some (are) Painting curated by David Gibson at 532 Gallery in Chelsea, NY; and Non-Objective at William Baczek in Northampton, MA. His work is in collections in the United States, London and Paris, including the corporate collection of Neiman Marcus.
