Since he picked up photography in 2003, Bryan Schutmaat’s photos have been exhibited and published in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. In 2011, he was awarded the Carol Crow Memorial Fellowship along with his first solo exhibition at the Houston Center for Photography. Bryan holds a degree in history and is pursuing an MFA in photography at the University of Hartford, studying under Robert Lyons, Doug Dubois and Alec Soth. Bryan’s work can be found at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, as well as in numerous private collections.
