Originally from Connecticut, Lacey received her MFA in photography from California College of the Arts in 1998. In addition, she received a BFA in photography and a BA in psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1993. Lacey studied under Larry Sultan, J. John Priola, Jim Goldberg, Anthony Aziz and Albert Chong, among others. During graduate school, she began traveling with and photographing the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus. This experience was a natural segue to the film business, where she currently makes her living as a still photographer.
Lacey has been in Los Angeles since 1999 and is represented by the Kopeikin Gallery. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and is in private collections in the U.S., Rome and Toronto. In 2003, 2008 and 2009, Lacey was invited to attend Review Santa Fe. She received honorable mentions for both Hey, Hot Shot! and Blurb’s Photography.Book.Now 2009 competitions for her offSET work.
