Beth Dow is a Minneapolis-based photographer who uses historical references and traditional processes to address contemporary issues of land use and our experience of time. Her practice reflects interests in fine printmaking and the art/craft dynamic of photography, and her work has been exhibited around the world. Dow’s work is in the collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Portland Museum, and it is held at the Museum of Contemporary Photography’s Midwest Photographers Project. Dow’s photographs have received many awards, including Grand Prize at the inaugural Photography.Book.Now/Blurb competition. She was a Critical Mass (Photolucida) top six Finalist and received fellowships from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the McKnight Foundation. She is married to photographer and master printer Keith Taylor.
