Michelle Arcila was born in New York in 1980. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2002 with a BFA in photography. She is currently living and working in NYC.

Arcila has exhibited her photographs in Poland, Australia, Belgium, Norway and New York. Her work can be found in a number of private collections and has been published in Vogue Korea, Time Out NY, Metro Pop, Les Inrockuptibles and Downbeat. She’s also photographed and served as art director for numerous record covers.

dream vacation: I am really lucky because I just had my dream vacation this summer in Norway. I got to see the fjords, drive up mountains, see glaciers and swim in the sea. I spent such wonderful quality time with a group of people that are very dear to me. It was a very touching trip. I do have my eyes set on Argentina though for the next adventure.
Currently listening to: Well, there are three records which I always have on heavy rotation these days: Opsvik & Jennings' A Dream I used to Remember, Elegi's Varde and Fever Ray. I am pretty much addicted to these records.
