Stefan Ruiz is based in Brooklyn. His work has been featured in numerous magazines, including Colors (he also served as Creative Director in 2003), the New York Times Magazine, L’uomo Vogue, French Vogue and Rolling Stone. His photographs have been exhibited at the Havana Biennale (Cuba, 2003); Palais Tokyo (Paris 2003); Open Eye Gallery (Liverpool 2005); Centre Culturel Mexicain (Paris 2005); Impressions Gallery (UK, 2005); and Les Rencontres d’Arles (France, 2005). At Les Rencontres d’Arles, he was nominated for the Prix Dialogue de l’Humanité. In 2006, a monograph of his work, People, was published by Chris Boot LTD. His second book, Factory of Dreams, is about Mexican telenovelas.
