I am fascinated with photography's inherent ability to play with space and time.
A common theme that arises in my work is the notion of absence vs. presence. I Told You So is part of the text-based Melting Words series that documents phrases made from ice as they slowly disappear.
The sentences play off of stereotypical language exchanged between lovers and investigate longing and apprehension. These utterances, extracted and reconstructed out of icy letters, hang in front of the viewer with a calculated coldness.
These prints are created using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag paper with a luster finish.
Our quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the images, not the printed image itself. We do not alter the aspect ratio, nor do we crop or resize the artists' originals. All of our prints have a minimum border of .5 inches to allow for framing.
