The photograph displayed above is the essence of a conversation between two people; as well it is the image that started the body of work Missing Teeth.
Before I began working on the photographs, something that became clear to me was how much of our time is constructed simply conversing with others, and really how these experiences shape our lives. I started to question how does one document such an experience with any sort of accuracy and/or is such a concrete approach necessary at all?
Missing Teeth is a body of work that explores the themes of individuals’ struggles with living. The clichéd, the morbid, and the indifferent meet and merge together between what has occurred and what was recorded.
These prints are created using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag paper with a luster finish.
Our quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the images, not the printed image itself. We do not alter the aspect ratio, nor do we crop or resize the artists' originals. All of our prints have a minimum border of .5 inches to allow for framing.
