Edition of 200 each $20.00, SOLD OUT
Beeching's work, which has been exhibited at the Association of Illustrators' Annual Exhibition 2008, is an eclectic melange of three styles: the hand-rendered, photo-montage and what he terms 'Dolce', a geometrical idiom for which he uses shape and color to build up complex interlocking compositions good enough to eat. In addition to this, he often paints with oil on canvas.
Beeching draws great inspiration from the Old Masters, Leonardo and Titian in particular, from Byzantine icons, but more often than not it's the world around him that ignites his imagination.
His work often straddles the world of fine art, print, advertising and editorial. In addition to this, he often paints with oil on canvas.
Starting out as a drawing done with my trusty automatic pencil, The Dandy Gorilla was then taken into Photoshop wherein it was colored and tweaked somewhat. An exotic palette of greens, purples and blacks was decided upon to lift the piece and to convey something of the heat of the jungle.
IMPORTANT: Mr. Beeching's signed certificates for this print were delayed in route from England which will postpone shipping until the week of September 1.
These prints are created using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag paper with a matte finish.
Our quoted dimensions are for the size of paper containing the images, not the printed image itself. We do not alter the aspect ratio, nor do we crop or resize the artists' originals. All of our prints have a minimum border of .5 inches to allow for framing.
