Edition of 200 each $20.00, SOLD OUT
This is one of the newest photographs from my series entitled The Games We Play. The project, comprised of images created in places where sports are played, was started in 2005.
Despite technological developments within the leisure industry, traditional athletic and team games remain the principal ways for groups to compete. Cities are still transformed today by an event with its roots in Ancient Greece, and being "on the team" is still seen as "cool" at school.
The photographs are shot with a view camera. The prints are digitally produced from scanned negatives, however production from start to finish involves no manipulation or lighting, providing a straightforward record of place.
The series has been internationally exhibited, making its debut at Jen Bekman Gallery in 2005.
